PLANIBEL
Range of AGC Clear and Tinted Float Glass
As market demand for coloured float glass evolves, AGC has introduced a tasteful range that will meet changing consumer tastes. Take our trendy dark grey glass which is prized for its aesthetics.
Not to mention we are the only one on the market to develop an original palette of three blue body-tinted products (PrivaBlue, Dark Blue and Azur). Bronze, Grey and Green complete the range.
The beauty lies in the fact that the colour is in the glass itself due to a sophisticated chemical composition, so colour intensity depends on the glass’ thickness. But it is not just a pretty facade; functionality is also part of the package.
It is used in construction in regions with considerable sun as a cost-effective way to filter light and heat with a low level of light reflection.
Planibel Clearlite
In recent years, the glass industry has seen growing demand for clearer float glass products. This demand is largely driven by the residential market, which is seeking ever greater energy gains.
As a result of its reduced iron content compared to Planibel Clear, Planibel Clearlite offers better light and energy performance, delivering improved comfort in homes.
Its high light-transmission level (91%) means that it lets in more natural light, reducing the need for artificial lighting and boosting occupants’ comfort and well-being. Its low energy-absorption level (5%) lowers the risk of thermal shock.
Passive energy gains are greater thanks to its high energy-transmission level (87%) and high solar factor (89%). This energy increase can contribute to a better overall energy balance for the window, leading to a positive impact in the WER (Window Energy Rating) system.
